The Great Pacific Garbage Patch...

You can't see it, but it's there, The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Millions of tons of trash plastic in all shapes, size, color and form floating with the currents and prevailing winds meet in a big clump of plastic soup in the northern Pacific Ocean. Killing birds and fish, originating mostly from USA, Japan and Russia.

Too spread out to collect, non-degradable, a collector of chemical
polutants from the enviroment - it will not disappear, it will grow
as long as it is fed.

The Garbage Patch - actually, patch
es as there are 5 ocean gyres which are collecting trash - was predicted by scientists, just like holes in the ozone layer and global climate change.
